Utah Hunting Checklist:
Current Utah Hunting License: These licenses allow hunters to hunt small game, including most waterfowl species and upland game.
Current Utah HIP Number: All hunters must obtain an HIP number annually before hunting migratory game birds.
Federal Duck Stamp: The Federal Duck Stamp, formally known as the Migratory Bird Hunting and Conservation Stamp, is an adhesive stamp issued by the United States federal government that must be purchased prior to hunting for migratory waterfowl such as ducks and geese.
Plugged Shotgun: You cannot hunt migratory game birds with a shotgun that can hold more than three shells, unless you plug it with a one-piece filler that cannot be removed without disassembling the gun.
Non-toxic Shot: Any shot type that does not cause sickness and death when ingested by migratory birds is considered non-toxic. Read more.
